Getting to know Brian…

What is the founding business principal that has driven your practice the most?

Many years ago I started our firm through a grass-roots marketing effort by meeting people in the community door to door. Our philosophy has always been if you do the right thing for people they will tell other people. That is what has worked in the past and has continued to help us grow over the years.

What’s something about yourself that may surprise your clients?

I take boxing lessons every Thursday morning. Many of my clients know that I used to run quite a bit. I have done some half marathons and many 5k races over the years, however I have cut back my running significantly and have been trying to mix up my gym routine. Boxing was my father’s favorite sport to watch, so I think he’d be impressed with my skills!

What part of your daily routine do you enjoy most?

I like being a problem solver, a detective; I enjoy coming up with a solution for my client’s needs and concerns. Sometimes that means recommending a particular type of account to achieve their goals, other times I am researching answers to their questions. I know enough about taxes to be dangerous and tax planning has become a larger part of our practice as time goes on. Sometimes simple ideas or changes can make large differences in someone’s long term financial situation.

What is a bucket list vacation destination?

I would like to get to Norway and Denmark in the next few years. I’ve done some traveling to Europe, but want to get to northern Europe. I remember watching the winter Olympics being held in Lillehammer, Norway back in the 90’s and ever since that time I have wanted to get there some day.

If you were an ice cream flavor which one would you be and why?

Birthday Cake. Then every day would be a celebration!

Getting to know Don…

What do you think are the best skills that you bring to your job?

Definitely my attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills. With these skills I am able to work efficiently and manage many tasks simultaneously

On the weekends, you can usually find me…

Working around my house and spending time with my family. If I can manage to pull myself away from those activities you might find me on the golf course or riding my bike.

Who is the biggest influence on your career choice?

Two people really. The first would be my wife, Rachael. She pushes me outside my comfort zone and challenges me to be the best version of myself. My brother-in-law Jeremy has been the most significant mentor to me. He provides me guidance and has always served as a sounding board for me both professionally and personally.

If you could eliminate one thing from your daily routine, what would it be and why?

Washing the dishes! Sometimes it feels like they are never ending. Once I think I am done, more just seem to appear.

What is your favorite Disney movie?

Definitely the original Lion King.

Gail M. Reppert

Gail joined Fisher Financial Associates in 2016 as an administrative assistant. Gail is one of the friendly faces you see when you first enter our office. She is an asset to our practice, as she maintains our office schedule, sets up most of our client appointments, and helps to maintain and update client records. She really enjoys the people she works with, both clients and co-workers, and is excited to continue learning and growing in her position.

Gail currently resides in Myerstown with her husband Craig and their two dogs, Gus and Lola. They have three sons and six grandchildren. She enjoys reading, crafts, walking and spending time with family, friends and most of all her grandchildren! Gail and Craig also look forward to their annual trips to Alaska to visit their oldest son and his family.

Getting to know Gail...

What is the #1 personality trait needed to perform your job?

The ability to perform more than one task at a time. All at once, the phone will start ringing, a client arrives for an appointment and paperwork is on my desk that needs to be processed ASAP. That’s when I take a deep breath and tell myself “stay calm and carry on”!

What do you enjoy most about your family?

All the smiles and hugs I receive from my grandchildren. Spending time with them at the playground and eating lots of ice cream.

What do you enjoy most about your work?

The clients. I enjoy greeting our clients when they arrive for an appointment and having conversations with them. I also enjoy helping to coordinate and plan events for our clients and getting to know them outside of the office.

What’s your favorite thing to do in the summer?

Relaxing on the beach with a good book and combing the beaches for sea glass while vacationing with family.  We have been vacationing together in the Outer Banks with my parents, my sisters, and our families for the past 25 years.

If you had to list three words that are important to you what would they be?

Family, Love, Laughter

Cathy Harris

She spent 19 years working in the Insurance Industry and has her Pennsylvania State Insurance License in Property and Casualty, Life, Accident and Health.  She is also a notary public which allows her to provide an additional service for our clients.

Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband Tim and their dog Hendrix. They have a daughter and son and one granddaughter. Cathy enjoys kayaking, reading, baking, being outdoors and always looks forward to spending time with her family and friends.

Getting to know Cathy…

What important skills or characteristics do you bring to the job?

Accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.  I also bring compassion as I enjoy helping people and building relationships with them.

What is something that most people don’t know about you?

I have my 2nd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do where I taught classes and was part of a demonstration team.  I also studied Isshinryu karate for six years.  My dad and I trained together in both styles of karate and it formed a strong and lasting bond between us.

What is your favorite season and why?

My favorite season is spring because everything is green and blooming.  After the cold and dreary days of winter, I love to see the earth bounce back to life.  I just think spring is a beautiful time of year.

What was your favorite family vacation?

Siesta Key, Florida was my favorite vacation with my family, my sister and my parents.  It was a beautiful beach and we shared a lot of laughs.  I have lots of good memories from that trip!
